Choosing the Right Ginger Variety

The first step to growing ginger outdoors is selecting the right variety. Some species of ginger are better suited for outdoor cultivation than others. For example, the common ginger (Zingiber officinale) is the most widely cultivated type, and it can tolerate different soil types and weather conditions.
