House plants are a great way to add some greenery and life to your indoor living space. And what better way to display them than in a stylish concrete planter that you made yourself? In this article, we'll show you how to make a chic and modern concrete planter that will elevate the look of any room.

Materials You'll Need

To make a concrete planter, you'll need the following materials:

  • Quick-setting concrete mix
  • A plastic container (to use as a mold)
  • A smaller plastic container (to create the hollow center of the planter)
  • Vegetable oil or cooking spray
  • Sandpaper (120 grit)
  • A mixing bowl and spoon
  • A trowel or putty knife
  • Water

Steps to Make a Concrete Planter

Step 1: Prepare the Mold

The first step is to prepare the mold for your planter. Take the larger plastic container and coat the inside with vegetable oil or cooking spray. This will help the concrete release from the mold once it has dried.
